Queen's Spice - Lavender / Spearmint / Lemon Baking Blend
Great Britain passed the Sugar Act in 1764, making life a lot less sweet for the colonists and the New England Ports that suffered under its influence. This new tax forced the colonies to increase prices, leaving a distinctly bad taste in everybody's mouth until Sam Adams and James Otis became the victorious voices of Massachusetts. They fought tirelessly against this unfair tax until finally, in 1766, the Sugar Act was repealed.
If our Boston Spice's Queen's Spice was available during this time period, people would have willingly paid extra to enjoy the unique sweetness. But today, you can indulge tax-free! Our Queen's Spice is sugar based with the royal taste of lavender, artfully blended with hints of spearmint and lemon. It pledges to bring that "WOW" factor to all your baked goods! Add it to your favorite recipes for that unique touch of deliciousness.
With Queen's Spice, we made a simple berry crisp royal, mixed ourselves a queenly martini, and when we added it to our coffee, we brewed a truly regal cup! Try it in your brownies, cakes, cupcakes, fudge, whipped cream, french toast, crepes, strawberry shortcake, cookies, truffles, and more!
Treat yourself to sublime flavor and make our specialty Queen's Spice Cookies (look for the recipe on our website). They were a crowning achievement at our last party, so roll out the dough for some of this specialty spice. Your court will be glad you did!
