Boston Spice The Commonwealth Seasoning Blend for Seafood Beef Pork Vegetables Popcorn

The Commonwealth is a traditional English term for a political community founded for the common good. Boston Spice wanted to follow that tradition, so we named this spice "The Commonwealth."

Our spice is a unique blend containing: brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, oregano and mesquite smoke flavoring. This spice is good for the Commonwealth of all foods. Use this delicious smokey spice on beef, seafood, poultry, ribs, pork, and vegetables.

Use "The Commonwealth" on your next meal and your taste buds will tell you it’s for your common good.

“The Commonwealth of Massachusetts” is the official name of Massachusetts. Why? Because John Adams said so when he wrote the Massachusetts Constitution in 1780 with these words contained within:

The Frame of Government. The people, inhabiting the territory formerly called the Province of Massachusetts Bay, do hereby solemnly and mutually agree with each other, to form themselves into a free, sovereign, and independent body politic, or state by the name of "THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS"

Ask a Question
  • Hello, Do you have recipes? Do you have a spice for cider? Which ones are most popular? Do you have no salt blends?

Good evening. thank you for the email.

We have a great mulling spice that can be used for red wine or apple cider. It is called "The Boston Wine Party". Our mulled wine/cider recipe is also on that page as well as on the back of the spice pouch and side of the tin.

We have some recipes for some of our spices here.

As for no salt blends, here is a link to some of them.  Click here.
We also list the ingredients for each of our spice blends on their respective webpage.

There are links for all these in the verticle menu on the left side of the webpage.

Hope that answers your question. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you
    Boston Spice
