Salem Massachusetts was first settled in 1626 and it located north of Boston. Salem is mostly known for its history on Witchcraft and witch trials of the late 1600's. Over 200 people were accused of witchcraft and 20 of those were put to death. It is also known as the birthplace of the US National Guard.
