Hub Rub - Seafood, Poultry, Vegetables, French Fries
Boston is often referred to as the "The Hub". In 1858, Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote, “Boston State-House is the hub of the solar system. You couldn’t pry that out of a Boston man if you had the tire of all creation straightened out for a crowbar.” The city of Boston quickly became known as the hub of the universe. Holmes was a satirist and was actually making fun of the fact that “Bostonians are so full of themselves.”
At Boston Spice, we are full of ourselves with spices. Our shelves are brimming and we are always blending and grinding! To honor the hub city, we crafted Hub Rub. This smokey Spanish rub combines smoked paprika and ground lemon peel. Our taste of Spain goes great on chicken, salmon, cod, and shrimp, as well as one of America's favorite side dishes, french fries. Try our Hub Rub on your dishes and get full of yourself with all the robust flavor.
Since 1798, the Massachusetts State House has been standing on the top of Beacon Hill. In 1803, copper was rolled at Paul Revere's copper factory, located in Canton Massachusetts, and covered the dome of the State House.
